Ooho Seaweed Capsules – pods over plastics

Plastic water bottles aren’t great for sustainability reasons even if they’re easy to work with while your out for a jog. Or in this case a while marathon. Instead of the ubiquitous water bottle at the London Marathon, there will Ooho Seaweed Capsules to quench runners’ thirst.

They’re like Tide Pods but you can actually eat them. Please don’t eat Tide Pods. You can pop these into your mouth and the membrane they’re made from is odorless and tasteless so you get your refreshing drink without leaving behind a bunch of plastic. If you just want the water, no covering, then rest assured that the covering won’t be around for long, they biodegrade in six weeks.

This is an effort to lessen plastic waste. Something like this is both functional and better for the environment. Getting a quick drink from a pod rather than a bottle might be the wave of the future.
