Electric Cars Won’t Save Us – the future calls for less cars (they should still be electric though)

Electric cars are a step in the right direction! They’re cleaner and far better for the environment than the current standard of cars. Adopting them is an important step in cutting back on emissions, however, they are not a cure all. The real goal should be lower car use when we can.

Urban sprawl is a a problem is a sort of silent killer when it comes to climate change. It makes cites more vulnerable to the dangers of climate change and cuts into very much needed green spaces. Making cites more accessible by foot and public transport would counteract some of these issues.

A future where not everyone has a car is actually a better alternative than everyone owning an electric vehicle. A rise in car sharing programs may also help to make this a more attainable solution. Of course there will always be those that need their cars but if you don’t NEED one, it might be better to just skip the entire thing.
