Mail Big File.com. I like this simple file transfer service a lot. If you’ve ever had the hassle of trying to get a large-ish file across to someone you’ll know the anguish of trying to use email etc. With this free service you simply upload the file (joy, there’s a progress bar) and enter in the recipient email address. No registration needed. The best thing is that it copes with files up to 512 MB in size, which is way handy. The Pro version at $18 a year gives you up to 2 GB file size. Bookmark, bookmark.
Many ISP’s limit the size of files that can be attached to an email, often as little as 10 or 20 MB’s is the maximum size. Or perhaps you’ve received a large file by email in the past and found that you have to wait whilst it downloads before you can see the rest of your emails? Well, now there’s an alternative – and it won’t cost you a penny.
