Zoom H4 Handy Recorder. Take 2 studio quality electret condenser microphones, stick them in a handheld box alongside two XLR quarter inch input jacks and some onboard effects like compression. Sprinkle an SD card slot and USB port onto the whole cake and you’ve got yourself a pretty cool piece of field recording gear in your pocket. $299.95 should do it, sir.

The H4 records on to Secure Digital (SD) media, a 128MB SD card is included with the unit. With a 2GB SD memory card, the H4 provides up to 380 minutes of recording in 16-bit mode (CD Quality), and 34 hours in MP3 stereo mode. And to move your recordings to a PC or Mac, the H4 includes a USB mass storage interface. The H4 provides 4 hours of continuous recording operation from 2 AA batteries. A back-lit, 128×64 pixel LCD provides the visual interface. An AC adapter, USB cable, windshield cover and tripod adapter (the H4 comes with a handy mounting sled with Velcro straps to mount it to a camera/video type tripod stand) are also included.

To tell you the truth Bob Roberts you are right that it does look cheap but if it works well then there is no worries in my eyes i think it is awesome.

Agreed one the looks, but the product seems to be very good.

PS: which plugin are you using for comments vite.If you can tell iw ill be glad.
