Skatemaster – the lazy dude’s sk8tr rig

Skatemaster

The Skatemaster Electric Skateboard comes with one very cool feature – a wireless remote control. Finally you can swoop around the mall on your silent board, with hands in pockets looking like some crazy flying carpet salesman, all mysterious motive forces and the like. We’re talking a 2 hour charge, 10 mile range and a DC motor which acts like a brake too, so you don’t even have to scuff your shoes dismounting. How cool is that, Moriarty? £139.99.

It might seem like a skateboard for lazy people but the arrival of the SkateMaster now means virtually anyone can hop on and be an expert Skateboarder in seconds. The principal is the still the same, you steer by leaning to either side, but because this is motor driven you can spend more time concentrating on the direction you want to go. The SkateMaster is powered by a sealed DC electric motor which will decelerate the board. This means that the speed can be precisely controlled using the handheld remote control unit.
