Break the lock to steal the bike and you end up with a broken piece of equipment. Let’s hope the thieves realise that first, eh? It’s also a ‘semi-folding’ model for transportation on trains, boats and automobiles, although at $1158.00 a shot, we’re not sure just how much time you’ll want to waste traveling on public transport.
The Down Tube wire is a structural part of the frame – integrating the locking mechanism in the frame subsequently rendering the bicycle non functional if someone breaks the lock to steal the bicycle. Although the bike has a folding mechanism, it isn’t a regular folding bike. It is made for quick & dirty type fold: Entering the elevator, the tube, the office.

There are several hundred dollars worth of components on this bike. Thieves will steal whatever they can get money for, so they’ll just cut through this frame. All this does is prevent them from riding off on your bike – they can still walk off with it & strip it later.
The problem is leaving the bike. To truly combine bus and bike you need somewhere on the bus to store the bike so you can use it at both ends of the bus journey. Bit like ski buses at resorts where you can stash your gear on the outside of the bus.
