Dustgone. ‘Gone are the days of bending over with a dustpan to pick up pet hairs, broken glass, and crusty food messes. The SweepEZE is always on and ready. When its patent pending “Eye-Vac” infrared sensor (driven by an internal microprocessor) detects the…

You use Compact Flash or SmartMedia cards? You need to keep the camera slots clean, right? So check out Kaiser’s cleaning cards. ‘They feature a cleaning tape at the contact positions. After inserting the card into the hardware, they are moved back and forth a few times removing fouling from the camera’s or reader’s contacts.’

QuickPad Pro Mail.

The QuickPad Pro Mail is a small battery powered laptop replacement with a full size keyboard, 50 to 100 hours of life from 4 AA cells, integral modem, Compact Flash slot, and infrared and USB ports for transfer of data to PCs. The design and concept is certainly not new, but for real road warriors who need to get writing done this must be a better bet than lugging around a laptop with a measly 3 hours battery life. Especially…

I suspect that the first exec to walk into a business conference room, plug his MMV-100 into the projector and beam a PowerPoint presentation from his phone while sitting at the other end of the table will earn a fair amount of props. Or get fired for being a smartalec.

Magna carta.

John Buckman, the founder and head honcho of online record label Magnatune, has a blog. And it’s great. Every modern business chief should have one. Really. ‘I can’t accept that CD for Magnatune, because the recording is totally owned by a producer in London, who would then receive all the sales royalties, and none would go to the actual performers.’
