Turbo noise.

When I were a lad a century ago, we used to stick playing cards into our bike spokes with a clothes peg to make cool sounds, sort of like a mini motorbike. I always wondered why no enterprising company had produced a ‘proper’ device for making same – but now they have. The Turbo Spoke. It may be annoying to some, trivial to others, but I suspect that it could also save lives or avoid injury in certain circumstances. ‘No…

Virtual Arena.

Speaking of arcade add-ons for home consoles […were we? – Ed] how’s about the Virtual Arena? Billed as the first and only virtual game controller for PS1 and PS2 (oh weally?) it’s got some interesting features which could make it a worthy successor to those naff dance mats. Like the strap on wireless sensors for ankles and wrists which interact with the pad receptors to know where you are moving, and the foot activated movement controllers. Apparently using one to…

CityDesk.

I’m really fascinated by the relentless drive to open up the Web to all comers as publishers. Weblogs are one cool example, but also coming up fast in the offside lane are simple automated content publishers, which offer non-tech users a quick and easy way to publish to a ready templated site.
