FotoFlexer Smart Resize – new tech hits consumer photo site

We covered the free FotoFlexer online photo editing service back in July in a rather desultory way. So now we’re back to eat humble pudding because the company has just introduced the super cool smart resizing technology on the site. This is not the first implementation of this new photo manipulation tech that everyone’s been raving about (ourselves included) but it’s definitely the most user friendly implementation. Think of it as an ex-boyfriend remover and you’ve got the picture (arf!). We played…

The Hype Machine – a meta music blog portal

The Hype Machine is a super cool idea. A kind of Digg-like meta music blog portal which tracks other music blogs and features tracks from them which can be played directly from the front page. Visitors get a chance to sample some of the cool music being blogged about and if they’re really interested they can visit the source blog and get more. You can also add tracks to a favourites list, buy tracks and there’s even a new music radio  on-site. Nice,…

Fuser – manage your email and social networks from a single web screen

Fuser dot com. A new service which lets you read and manage your email and social networking communications from one place. I can see this being really quite useful when you’re on the road and need to keep up with stuff without lots of log on hassles…

Google Labs has released a few new Google search ‘experiments’, the most interesting of which is the Alternate Views version. FingerCam – world’s smallest wireless colour video camera

FingerCam is apparently the world’s smallest wireless colour video camera. The size of a dime, which when you consider how low the dollar has fallen in currency exchange terms, makes it very small indeed. Of course you’ll need a hulking great 9V battery pack to power it up, so there’s still a limit to how invisible this is, but until the nuclear model comes along it’ll have to do, won’t it? $95.00. Video sample?  While many places claim to have the world’s…
