Weather Ken Weather Station – make the rain and snow real personal

Dude, if you’re going to build a digital weather station, why not make it like this TFA Dostmann model and stick a person on it, so you can like, really relate to the happenings out doors? When it rains on the Weather Ken Weather Station he’ll get wet first. When it’s sunny, he’s down to the beach with the surfboard before you can say Bondi Bum. There’s even a Weather Pam version for the ladies, thankfully not in pink. Thoughtful…

Wrap Up Tripod – protects and serves

The Wrap Up Tripod is a neoprene case for your digital camera that doubles as a tripod. The sturdy base screws into the tripod socket at the bottom of the camera so you won’t lose it and there are three flip out legs to hold your camera up. When you’re done flip it all back together and wrap it up. The best bit is it makes your camera look like a wallet, so no one will want to steal it….

Travel light with a solar recharger – Ferret travel tips

No this isn’t a double post, it’s a tip. A globe-trotting friend of ours dropped in recently and she had one of these FreeLoader solar power chargers. She’s not really a gadget person so I quizzed her about why she bought it and how much she uses it and the answers surprised me. While the fact that you can charge gadgets using solar power is pretty nifty, she bought it for the multitude of charging adapters that came with it….

Mimo 720-s – portable auxiliary USB monitor and touchscreen

The Mimo 720-S is the touch screen version of the freshly minted Mimo 710-S USB auxiliary screen. It’s a 7″ 800 x 480 USB monitor but it’s been redesigned to fold flat against its base to protect the screen and to give you multimonitor mwa-ha-ha wherever you deploy. The price of portability is a decrease in versatility as the screen can still be rotated but you lose the height adjustment. No word on price as yet but the non touchscreen…

Orbita Mouse – hands on review

I was pretty fascinated when I first saw the Orbita Mouse a couple of months ago. I’m a fan of unusual mice, and the Orbita seemed to combine an ordinary computer mouse with the simplicity of a Griffin PowerMate so I had to have a look at one. Note: Apparently it looks like some kind of old, unpopular Apple Mouse? Well forget all about that, the Orbita is nothing like it, it says so here.
