NoteShred – encrypted password protected email notes which auto self destruct. Paranoid much?

There’s careful about security and then there’s careful about security. Know what we mean? If you’re one of those folk who’s *careful* about your privacy and the stuff you communicate to people, you might want to think about beefing up your toolset to ensure you don’t leave traces which could get you on television, Wikileaks or worse.

Ergonomical Back Massager beats a back scratcher any day

When your back hurts, it’s hard to think about much else. Every movement is more strain, and just haphazardly rubbing your own back isn’t going to work. If you thought scratching every part of your back was hard, try to massage it with the proper amount of pressure. You’ll end up making your arm more tired than your back was to begin with.

KROSS Keyboard from Korg is a street busker’s delight

Music is all around us, but it takes an individual to shape that sound into something that other people want to listen to. While people or groups like Stomp can use garbage cans and found objects to share their sounds, others may prefer more traditional instruments. If you like to play around with a keyboard, then the only thing you’ll need to worry about is being plugged in, but what happens when you don’t want to be in the same…

In the shade of the ole Solar-Lighted Umbrella

Oftentimes, reading a book is a good way to take in a few rays of sunshine, but if it’s a really good book, what you may have meant to only be an hour can end up being 4 or 5. If you don’t want to be baked, it might be best to sit in the shade. The only problem now is that you have…

This new DNA Testing Chip scares the bits out of us, expect a science fiction world sooner rather than later

Scientists at Panasonic, along with Belgium based researchers at IMEC, have developed a new DNA testing machine on a chip that can deliver results in an hour, instead of the current 3 or 4 days. The device, which is about half the size of a business card, contains all the mechanics to process a blood sample, including a tiny electromagnetic pump which pushes the sample along a full blown analysis and processing line inside the chip.

boomBottle gives you music that moves with you

Love music and can’t stand a minute without it? Riding a bike with earbuds in is not a great decision, as you won’t be able to hear oncoming threats. So if you want to listen to tunes, you’ll need your own speaker system, much like a car has. The only problem is where you’re going to put it.
