MicroLink Micro KVM Switch – control the world from your pocket

The NewLink Micro KVM Switch lets you control two PCs with one keyboard, mouse and monitor. Cute isn’t it? Of course when we say control, we don’t mean dominate. We’re talking more like a gentle and somewhat benevolent dictatorship. You give the orders, the two computers obey. All very PC, you might say. £39.99.  The two-port Micro KVM switch is a simple solution for those with more PC’s than hands. Use one keyboard, one mouse and one monitor to control two…

The Gaucho Peg Perego is proof of the old Jesuit maxim – get ‘em while they’re young and they’ll be your gas guzzling slaves for life. Or something. Make of it what you will, good people, but suffice to say that it comes with a working FM radio and a glove compartment. $999.95 (or $450.00 if you know where to look).  Unlike other…

Sony’s Bio Battery – sweet sounds from new sugar power

Catch this Sony demonstration of a sugar powered bio battery. It’s pretty sweet. Arf! Actually it’s a seriously cool technology if they can ever perfect it for commercial use. The video shows them powering an MP3 player which is great, although I can foresee problems with people being tempted to eat their gadgets when they get depressed. Ah well… [via TokyoMango]  The bio electric battery which this time was made on an experimental basis the worldwide highest output of 50mW…

USB Powered CD Destroyer – scratchy and stiffy at a PC near you

The USB Powered CD Destroyer will make a disc unreadable in 5 seconds by scratching the surface with a rather pretty pattern. Bearing in mind that we can destroy a disc in under a second with a variety of sharp, hot or blunt household implements, you may want to pause and reflect for a few moments before rushing out to plunk down the $29.00 in greens that this puppy demands. But hey, it’s USB powered, so that’s cool right?  USB…

RedPost Kit – hackable DIY Linux based 19 inch digital picture frame

The RedPost/Kit is a DIY Linux powered 19 inch digital picture frame. It features WiFi or USB connection, 128 MB of system memory and a 200MHz CPU. The makers also encourage you to tinker with the system and customise it to your requirements, which is a refreshing change. It’s not as svelte or elegant as other brand name products on the market, but if you’re looking for an open platform to do some clever things with remote transmission of images (like…

Katazukue – the table that tidies up for you

The Katazukue Table contains two conveyer belts which ‘periodically’ dump anything sitting on the table top to the floor. Now this may be an artist’s idea of tidying up, but where we come from the floor is not considered to be a great storage space. Although looking around me now….Anyhoo don’t expect to see this concept art piece on the production line anytime soon, eh? Funny video.  So Katazukue on one level supports our modern lifestyle by clearing itself for different activities during…

Elvis Wowee – creepy robot King talks sings like Bruce Lee film

The Elvis Wowee Amimatronic is just too weird. Built by the Robosapien people it features the King singing and talking with strange head, lip and eye movements. If your idea of a cosy night in is gazing adoringly at a twitchy bust of your pop idol mouthing inanities then this is for you. The rest of us will probably just pop a CD in the tray and grab a sandwich. Around $524.00 in Danish. Watch the frightening video.  It is…
