Fireball media maker.

The Escient DVDM 552 Media Manager sports a 500 GB hard disk and can handle up to 2000 DVDs and CDs in external changers. Man, who’s got time to look at all that stuff? I barely have time to watch half a Becker rerun episode a week. Ooops, did I just admit that? Tsk.  There is no better way to enjoy your home theater than with the DVDM-552’s ability to graphically organize and display your entire DVD, CD and digital music collection…

EZ Dub.

The Lite-On SOHW-1673SU EZ-Dub DVD Copier. This little puppy offers a 3 step disk copy in a neat little external form factor. Shove a DVD or CD into the drive, press the Dub button, and replace disk with a blank one when prompted. There, even your gran could do that, eh? Also does drag and drop backups.  LITE-ON introduces EZ-DUB, a patented new feature, making copying easier and more hassle-free for users than ever before. The EZ-DUB function works with the addition…

The Tech Book Reader.

The ATMT Tech Book Reader. The folk at ATMT were hoping to punch out this AA battery powered e-book reader for around £65.00 ($114.00) which would have made it an interesting little product all round. But alas it’s shelved at the moment, at least until sometime later this year. And unfortunately V.2 threatens to come with colour screen, navigator, media player etc, which of course will inevitably mean more money. Sigh.  The Tech Book Reader differs from present notebook computers or handheld…

PSP Blue Light Cable.

Apparently there is a reason why you’d want to have a USB data and charging cable for your PSP that lights up with blue LEDs. But I’m struggling to hold on to it. Give me a moment. $12.00.  This charging & data cable contains 3 LEDs on each head. After you plug it into PC, the LEDs will on. Brighting your PSP, you must get one.

Lazer Trip Wire.

Lazer Trip Wire. Don’t put up with the kids giving you trouble, just stand them inside this vicious looking lazer alarm system and watch them roast as they try to bust free. What’s that? Oh. I see. Apparently the frikkin’ lazers aren’t the same type as worn by sharks.  $26.99.  The Lazer Trip Wire system is a set of three devices that communicate through harmless light beams. Kids can set them up in their doorways or across their rooms, in any…

The Truth Detector.

The Truth Detector. Detects voice stress patterns and glows red when it hears someone saying ‘of course I’ll give it back’. $39.99.  Two of the most effective indicators are the Psychological Stress Evaluator (PSE) and the Voice Stress Analyzer (VSA). These tests have been imported into the Truth Detector, a specially designed device that analyzes and measures the frequency changes that occur in the voice when a person undergoes stress. The Media Tank.

The Media Tank. The Ferret is easily impressed with chunky tech, and it doesn’t get much more chunk than this. Hair remover with pedal.

Vector Hair Removal System. Must confess to being a little intrigued by a hair remover with foot pedal. Under what circumstances are ones hands completely occupied in this regard? Is it through ripping great clumps of follicular material from your cranium? We need to be told. $199.95.  Unlike other hair removal devices that use radio frequencies and batteries, the Vector uses the process of electrolysis to dissolve the hair follicle by producing sodium hydroxide in the hair shaft…The Vector System…
