The Pin Clock.

The Pin Clock. Clever eh? £50.00. [Thanks Jose]  Remember those pinboards that moulded an impression of your hand? Well, this clock uses the same technology to bring you the time, without the hands… Housed in a modern metal effect casing, solenoids push the pins out with a satisfying staggered click.

Electronic goggles.

UVEX F1 Magic Electronic Ski Goggles. Crystals change intensity and colour shade when voltage applied from tiny battery. Result? All condition, all terrain goggles. Isn’t technology wonderful? $210.00.  Skiers and snowboarders constantly face the problem of changing light conditions on the hill. Until now, the answer has been to carry two pairs of goggles, or switch to the inferior protection of sunglasses, or struggle to see in flat light with a dark lens or squint when the sun comes out while you…

Metropolis hot.

The DeLonghi Metropolis Toaster. Retro kitchenware done with more than an ounce of style, children. Even though I can’t say I’m a huge fan of the brand in general. Around $49.95. [via Tetherd Cow]

MP3 toothbrush.

The Twin Spin Toothbrush. Brush for two minutes and it’ll play ya an MP3 track. Not clear whether you have to use their naff tunes, or whether you can download and use some more funka-teetha-licious ones. But don’t go stealin’ no music now y’hear, or the RIAA heavies will ensure that you suddenly have no need for a tooth cleaner at all.

Zyxel wifi gadget test.

Our pals over at Gizmag have done a hands-on test of the Zyxel AG-225H and reckon it’s the bee’s kneecaps. Seems that it has that magical wow factor that makes for top product love. Looks good.  It’s really an issue of the sum of the parts being greater than the whole. The AG-225H is basically made up of 3 parts: (1) a stand alone dual band WiFi Finder, (2) a dual band USB WiFi adapter, and (3) ZyXEL’s Soft AP…

Zen and the art of waking up.

The Zen Alarm Clock. Doesn’t actually do anything, just sits there contemplating why the sound of one bell ringing doesn’t make a tree fall in the forest. Or something. Oh OK, it has a ‘mindfulness bell’, which dongs just once then waits politely for a few minutes. My version is much better though, isn’t it? $139.95. Oh, and maybe you don’t need an alarm clock at all?  In addition to its use as an alarm clock, The Zen Timepiece also serves…

iShare, you share MP3.

The iShareMP3 Mini. Apparently this is the world’s first MP3 player/FM radio and voice recorder with infrared IrDa file transfer functionality for moving tracks from device to device (and elsewhere?). Up to 1GB capacity, 20 hour battery, 16Mbps transfer rate and a hard disk version on the way? Priced from £69.00. Gosh, the music industry will be pleased.

Cry freedom…

The Carry Freedom City Trailer. Pretty cool portable trailer [a tad tautological? – Ed] which you can use as a suitcase, folding bike holder etc etc. £245.00 but neat nonetheless.  The 12″ wheels glide over obstacles like stairs or kerbs, while the trolley wheels mounted on the frame allow the City to slip sideways through narrow gaps like turnstiles. Strap your folding bike on top of the frame whilst carrying luggage in the bag. The handle folds for quick stowage,…

Handheld console viruses.

Just received a press release from Panda Software saying that two Trojans designed specifically for the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP have been found. The Format.A and Tahen (variants A and B) Trojans can apparently overwrite critical files and delete firmware. Interestingly enough, people are only at risk if they load up unauthorised programs, stick to the manufacturer’s stuff and you’ll be all right (allegedly). Golly! You may need a virus scanner, eh? [Thanks Willem.] Even though users are unlikely to…

I, Robot.

Robby the Robot comes to play. The Official, Special Edition, seven foot high, animatronic, remote controlled Robby the Robot reproduction from the 1956 movie Forbidden Planet. Created from the original blueprints by little green blob-like creatures with furry antenna and suckers for mouths. Nah, just kidding. No joking about the price though – an alien attack inducing $49,999.95. [Thanks Jerry].  The robot is pre-programmed to deliver his famous lines from the original movie, and the remote control allows you to adjust…
