Mobile courses

When I first read this BBC Online report, I thought that it was announcing a new set of university courses which could be accessed via a mobile phone. Which I thought was interesting, puzzling and not a little impossible. Turns out I was wrong, and it is actually just a BSc course on mobile phones. Which is marginally less interesting, but just as puzzling.

The Meg Generator – something for nothing?

Today must be magnet day, but whatever. The clever boffin type folks at ZZZ have posted a piece on a new device called the Meg Generator which apparently uses an electro-magnetic generator to produce energy from a vacuum.
