Pins Collective – a tech take on a retro look

Pin Collective back and front

It was the height of cool and antiestablishment to wear pins back in the 90s. Your favorite bands, slogans, and art, all pinned safely to your jacket or bag. The style kind of fell out of fashion but one company wants to bring them back in a brand new way. Pins Collective is creating a pin that you can change digitally.

This little pin is a small digital billboard that you wear. You can change the image through an app on your cell phone as you see fit. It will stream whatever image you tell it to, whether still or moving.

Have fun with it, give your opinion, share art, shout out to your favorite bands. It’s up to you and the best part is, you don’t have to worry about pricking yourself more than once! This project is being funded via Kickstarter right now but it’s so innovative and fun, we just had to share it! These pins come at a bit of a price hike from the 90s though. Pins Collective start at $59.
