It’s hard not to feel some sympathy for the entertainment industry as they flail around trying to stay up to date with technologies designed to deliver their content free to anyone who wants it. They sue this company, shut down that operation, lobby governments and buy political friends, and still they’re always at least five steps behind the curve. It’s a war all right, with no end in sight. Take this new free movie viewing service for instance.

Meerkat Android – live Twitter streaming app finally reaches Android phones. Addictive Much? [Freeware]

We can definitely understand all the fuss and bother over the new Twitter live video streaming apps, Meerkat and Periscope. Yes, they were horribly over hyped at first (especially Meerkat), but actually they’re very interesting apps in their own right. The idea of live streaming brief glimpses of time from across the world can be incredibly addictive, especially when you throw in the chat interaction.
