According to this NEAsia report, next year should see a flood of 1.3 megapixel digital camera phones. That’s right mobile handsets with half decent cameras in them. Good grief, it wasn’t that long ago that 1.3 mp was the standard in consumer quality digicams period. Sheesh!

This CNET report reveals how a small start up company in the US is trying to develop technology to prevent people taping movies in cinemas using their camcorders. Erm…and just how many people do that? And how pitifully naff is the result? Hint: Very! What a complete waste of time and money. Oh and the company was set up by one of the people that launched the Divx DVD player technology that failed so spectacularly. Says it all really.
