Nooly Micro Weather – the weather, your exact location, at that moment [Freeware]

Everyone needs to keep track of the weather, it’s just a fact of life. OK, except for those of you in LA. But the problem is most weather services only give broad sweep forecasts over long periods.

Listening to our fave music on a phone is a delight, and can also be very valuable when we’re out and about doing stuff like jogging or just traveling from place to place. Real S4 – this clone Galaxy S4 shows clearly how far the market has shifted over the past 18 months

Oh how times change. It seems like only a few short months ago that the Chinese obsession was with cloning the Apple iPhone as quickly as they could melt plastic and metal, with truckloads of these knock-offs hitting the street every week. Well that was then and this is now. People get older, times change and guess who’s top of the target list now?

OsmAnd Maps & Navigation – free GPS satellite navigation app removes data roaming expense [Freeware]

Where on earth would we all be without GPS satellite navigation systems eh? Stuck up the jungle without a paddle, that’s fer sure. Or lost in a village without road signs and no friendly police station. But one of the problems with using the leader of the pack, Google Maps, is the fact that it uses data to download the maps as you’re driving. Which can get very expensive if you’re using GPS while abroad and roaming charges kick in.

iPhone Self-Defense – 8 iPhone accessories that could save your life in a tight corner

Steve Jobs taught us one important thing about the iPhone. No matter what you can think of… “there’s an app for that!” But that doesn’t mean everything is solved by simply installing an app, there are other things an iPhone can do without software. Take for example self-defense… and NO … by this I do not mean using your iPhone as an ultra expensive hand-thrown projectile!

BiBiTel SIM Skin – stick on SIM card converts your existing SIM to cheap calls

Most people will readily agree that mobile phone calls are still too expensive, especially those made to foreign destinations. It’s easy to believe that every minute of an international phone call currently funds a part of some distant politician’s luxury villa, which is probably only partly untrue.
