Cocoon Hanging Tent – cool tree house just needs a hook and a branch

Some things instantly look like fun for all, and this Cocoon Hanging Tent is one. C’mon, who wouldn’t want to climb into this puppy and swing back and forth while reading P.G. Wodehouse (who?), sipping iced chamomile tea and listening to some cool summer sounds . But maybe we’re being silly?

Do This ASAP – free online service offers a real human servant to do stuff for you

Almost since the dawn of the Interwebs people have been trying to improve search. They’ve tried graphical search engines, text ones, multilingual, niche topics, you name it and someone has come up with an idea and a project. Amazon Pilot Season – do crowdsourced viewer votes point to the future of primetime television services?

If there’s one thing that demonstrates how far and how fast entertainment has moved since the early days of primetime, we really need look no further than the Amazon Pilot Season. Now in it’s third year, this unlikely collaboration between a bookseller, the Internet and faux television, presents the kind of audience participation that Nielsen ratings can only dream about. Motoped – the DIY cross between a mountain bike and a moped

When is a motorbike not a motorbike? When it’s a self-build kit which lets you use standard mountain bike forks, wheels, brakes and such, and combine them with a specially developed frame which can hold a small four stroke motor. The result is something which you can cycle when it suits you, and will also give more than 100 mpg from the 50cc motor version when motoring.

Hidden From Google – listing all the censored ‘people’ results on search engines

The recent ‘right to be forgotten‘ ruling from the EU has definitely allowed some very…um… interesting people to avoid public attention in Europe, and even more so now that Bing has just joined the party. The result has been as expected, various people removing their search engine listing for things like court cases and adverse newspaper reports, which means of course they can then move on and either reform, or do their stuff again to other unsuspecting victims.

A new service has launched which aims to make it much easier for people living in the EU to make a request to Google to remove their information from the search results. “New” inflatable process for building energy efficient concrete dome buildings isn’t so new

Most of us have little to no experience seeing or living in a concrete dome building. Yet they were first introduced as “bubble houses” in the 1940′s by Wallace Neff. A team at the Vienna University of Technology has created a system that allows concrete shell structures for a domed building to…
