Group Office – open source collaboration software makes colleagues your friends

Group Office is an open source collaboration package which gives you shared calendars, a customer management module, email, file sharing and a water cooler. Nah, just kidding about the water cooler. The fully supported version costs from €10 per month per user, but there’s a DIY open…

Free Audio Editor 2009 – a freeware audio…er…editor

Free Audio Editor 2009 is a freeware audio editing program. Like what more is there to say? It lets you edit audio files (duh!), record audio, burn audio CDs and can handle MP3, WMA, WAV and OGG. It’s got a cutesy user interface for those who like colourful, but doesn’t have the kind of extensive plugin support you get with Audacity, which will make it of limited interest to those who take their audio editing seriously. But as a simple one-shot tool, it looks…

Microsoft Pro Photo Tools 2 – geotagging your images and more…

Microsoft Pro Photo Tools 2 is a cool freeware program for tweaking photos. So far so hum, but the neat bit is the fact that you can quickly geo-tag the image using the menu and a couple of button presses. Just enter in the name of the place where you took the photo, and the software will look up the GPS coordinates from a Windows Live Local map. Once the lat and long is locked in, you can then display the image on a…
