Ceros Vision 16 GB Android Tablet – budget retina tablet offers great quality at an attractive price [Review]
There’s no shortage of budget Android tablets on the market, but for the most part they’re pretty middle of the road in terms of specifications and performance. That’s why it’s always nice to see a tablet which seems to have a little more thought and care put into design, especially when it looks nice as well.
Read MorePAWA Card – probably the coolest little credit card charger on the planet [Review]
We went to a small digital demo show last night and tucked away in the corner of the room was a little stand showing off these tiny gizmos. The PAWA Card is an ultra thin credit card sized charge block which comes with an integrated Lithium Polymer battery, and a very clever triple format connector.
Read MoreSelfie Studio For iOS and Android – the ultimate self portrait kit for the truly obsessed
According to this recent research project analyzing 6.3 million social media messages, London and New York are the world’s most popular selfie photo locations. London just edges out the Big Apple, with people queuing up to picture themselves in front of Big Ben, the London Eye and Buck House (yeah the palace), which all seems like jolly good fun.
Read MoreMalwarebytes Anti-Exploit – new freeware protects against browser attacks better than your anti-virus will [Freeware]
It’s a big bad world out there, and we’re pretty sure it’s not going to change any time soon. We’re talking specifically about malware, drive-by exploits and the like, because these attacks seem to be on the rise, and it’s kind of disconcerting.
Read MoreThe Britt Pedal – convert any bike into an electric bike instantly by changing the pedals
If you’ve ever struggled up a hill on your bicycle and wished there was a way to make the task easier, you might be interested in this interesting product which is apparently under development. We say apparently, because although it’s won a few awards, there’s been no real sighting of a real working prototype, and so we have to file it under ‘possibly too good to be true.‘
Read MoreHD Swim Goggles – get a whole new perspective on life in the water
We seem to be kind of obsessed with videoing everything at the moment, but so far one of the places that has resisted attack is the water. But now that’s about to change with the launch of these high definition video goggles.
Read MoreStar Wars Tie Fighter Nutcracker – crush the rebellion
So answer this. How come all the fancy home hardware comes from the Galactic Empire? Was there no attempt at marketing by the Rebel Alliance at all? No sponsored tie-ins, no affiliate schemes for bathroom utensils? It’s a total mystery.
Read MoreIntel Future Technology Show – we get to see what the engineers are up to deep in their labs
It’s not often they let the Intel engineers out into the sunlight, most of the time they’re kept locked in dark dungeons slaving away on stuff which we may see in a few years time. But this week the unthinkable happened, and the might chip maker decided to show off some of the cool stuff they’re working on, and we were invited along to have a play and video. It was rather neat.
Read More3G Watchdog – keep track of your 3G mobile data and avoid nasty invoice surprises at the end of the month [Freeware]
In an ideal world we’d all be able to afford the maximum unlimited data accounts with our shiny new smartphones, but it’s not an ideal world and we mostly have to settle for some sort of data cap each month. The real problem comes when we exceed the limits though, because that can get expensive, fast. Now there’s a way to track and avoid over-charges on your Android handset.
Read MoreXploreAir – is this the world’s first flying bicycle?
Well it had to come right? We’ve had flying cars, flying chairs and even flying houses, so why shouldn’t there be something like a flying bicycle? OK, well maybe it’s a bit too Jetsons for most of us, but we’ll bet that there’ll be a fair few nutters buyers for this little gizmo once the drugs wear off.
Read MoreDoogee Android Smartphone – budget quad core smartphone [Review]
There’s a seemingly never ending supply of cheap Android smartphones coming out of China at the moment, some of them great, others not so impressive. We thought we’d take a look at a generic offering to see whether the overall quality of these phones has improved over the past couple of years. And the answer is…a qualified yes.
Read MorePetomato – cool way to grow delicious stuff and recycle at the same time
Petomato is a great new way to combine eco recycling and home horticulture in one easy kit. The idea is you use any old plastic bottle you have lying around, insert the specially customized cap and hydroponic holder, add your choice of seeds and you’re off to the races growing stuff on the nearest sunny ledge in your home.
Read MoreStatus 4 Evar – restore the lost status bar in Firefox 29 in an instant [Freeware]
We have to say we’re enjoying the latest Firefox 29 version a lot. The browser definitely seems snappier all round, and the new layout is excellent for maximizing screen space, especially for those on laptop computers. But the one thing we’re not so enthusiastic about is the fact that the devs removed the bottom status bar for some reason. Naughty.

Having a smartphone means a lot of things. Specifically it means that you can capture different moments and save them instantly as photos on your device. But what’s more difficult is taking these moments and converting them into hard copy memories. Which is where this new gadget comes into play.
