DoNotSpy – worried about your Windows 10 privacy? Well stay away from this grubby piece of freeware [Freeware]

The massive update process behind Microsoft’s Windows 10 rolls on, with over 60 million installs so far and counting. This is huge. But there are a number of issues with the whole process, not only broken drivers which stop things working, but also the rather unpleasant range of privacy settings which Windows inflicts on the user. Things like tracking your movements on the web, or your communications, stuff like that. Not surprisingly, a fair number of people are objecting, which…

Youxia – the world’s first Android electric supercar?

So move over Tesla, there’s a new clone in town. The newcomer offers all the exotic all-electric power and style of the American supercar, but with a lower price and a few different features. The Youxia (pronounced Yo-sha) is due to hit the streets next year sometime, although we’ve not seen any confirmed images of a factory floor or anything which resembles an assembly plant yet.

LED Foot Pain Reliever – NASA technology to the rescue for poor tired tootsies

Hands up if you’ve ever had painful feet. Yep, same here. We all get pain in the feet at some time or another, because we walk around a lot. That’s good of course, but it can lead to problems if we’re wearing unsuitable shoes or staying on our feet for too many harsh, unyielding hours. Properly fitting footwear can help of course, but there’s also another solution it seems.

2015 VW Passat GTE – first drive of the ultimate 149 mpg company fleet car [Review]

If anyone needs proof that the world is slowly changing, look no further than the major car manufacturers. These lumbering dinosaurs are being forced, kicking and screaming, into the eco driven future to the extent that they’re even converting their major sellers into green machines. The latest example is this Volkswagen Passat GTE, a plugin hybrid (PHEV) which boasts ‘official’ consumption figures of 149 mpg and 31 miles of all electric range. And at a price which is very nearly…

RadiaShield Men’s Boxer Briefs – reduce the radiation to those precious private parts

There’s no doubt that we live in a massively irradiated world. We swim in a sea of WiFi, mobile phone, broadcast TV, microwave and other electromagnetic stuff every single day, and it’s getting worse not better. Which could be rather worrying if some studies are to be believed. “Semen exposed to RF electromagnetic waves emitted from cell phones had higher levels of damaging free radicals, lower sperm motility (the ability of sperm to move and swim), lower sperm viability (the…

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, no-one does fun quadcopters like Parrot. So now the company has just announced the 2015 line-up of fun flyers, starting with the Parrot Airborne Cargo Drone. We got to test it out at the launch this week.

Camio – got an old phone lying around? Turn it into a free security camera [Editors Choice]

Camio is a free service which lets you convert any old smartphone (or even a computer webcam) into a motion sensitive security camera.
