It’s hard to remain a ‘concerned’ citizen nowadays because you can never tell whether a product you’re buying comes from a company whose ethics are questionable or worse. There are so many different degrees of ownership in the major corporates, that it’s almost impossible to trace who owns what when it comes to consumer products on the shelves.

There’s no question that the web is becoming more and more of a visual medium every day. Where once we had feature articles we now have Pinterest, where there were paragraphs now there’s Twitter.
Have you ever looked at a photo you took and wished that you could remove something in the background that was annoying or unnecessary? Until now the only way to do this was either to fire up a high quality image editor like Photoshop, or send the image off to a processing service like the most excellent Tucia.com.
We’re all for strong security, so don’t take this as a complaint, but why does it have to be so hard to retrieve wireless networking passwords on Windows? Surely there should be an easier way to locate and store these important bits of information?

Oh Google Maps what would we do without you? With your quirky little cars and their cameras, and your willingness to travel to the furthest ends of this small planet of ours to map out our nations.
There are boring ways to lock your computer against unauthorized access, and then there are interesting ways. We don’t know about you, but we’d much rather use a good looking method than rely on a stuffy password to do the trick.

Chances are if you’re a busy person you may not have the time or the inclination to spend shopping around for clothes. Men in particular seem to dislike the process of hunting around in stores, maybe because we have smaller brains?
If there’s one thing guaranteed to scare most school children to their core, it’s the thought of doing another math test. All that trigonometry, algebra, equations and other implements of torture, and just one small brain to deal with it.
For some reason web editors, tools to help code and build websites, appear to have fallen out of fashion. Maybe it’s the rise of themed CMSs or just a decline in demand, but there aren’t that many of them being marketed any more. Unlike, say, video editors.

Everyone loves lists. There’s something about a set of connected data points that really pleases the brain. It’s as if we mentally applaud the time saving that comes from gathering information in an easy to access location.
One of the scary things about living the modern comfortable life is how far removed we are from the basics. For instance if the transport system died tomorrow, do you know how you would get stuff to eat?
We love Amazon to bits, but the one annoying part about shopping there is having to peer at tiny thumbnail photos of products the whole time, trying to get an idea of what’s on offer.
