Mobilewitch – freeware turns your mobile phone into a Bluetooth remote control

Mobilewitch is a free program that converts any mobile phone into a universal PC remote control. The software is Java based and so should run on most conventional handsets, and uses Bluetooth which means your laptop or desktop should be Bluetooth enabled or you’ll need a USB Bluetooth dongle ($1.35). Quick Restore Maker – freeware lets you set restore points instantly

Sometimes you need to set a restore point on your Windows machine fast, just in case something goes wrong with an installation or whatever. The free Quick Restore Maker utility lets you create one with a single click instead of having to go to Control Panel, System…etc etc etc blah. uTorrent SpeedUp Pro – freeware speeds up your BitTorrent downloads?

This freeware product uTorrent SpeedUp Pro is supposed to speed up your uTorrent file downloads by ‘optimizing’ your connection settings. It’s one of a range of such optimizers for different file sharing programs like Limewire, eDonkey etc, but for some reason I’m not 100% convinced. MonkeyJam – freeware lets you create cool stop-motion animation for fun and profit

MonkeyJam is a neat little freeware prog which lets you create those really fun, cool stop-motion animations you see around. You can either capture directly from any standard webcam or import images from a digital camera, although make sure you keep the resolution reasonable if you don’t want to wait around for months for the rendering. It’s pretty simple to use, and if you need more sophistication, just drop the resulting .avi into Movie Maker or some other video editing program…
