Sand Is In Danger – Mekong River sand as well as other locations are not infinite

The ecosystem along the banks of the Mekong River is in serious trouble because industry is snatching up all the sand. Sand is a key component in many things that we use from glass to electronics and most of all, cement. The massive amounts of sand drawn from this and many other locations are destroying them.

Climate change is sort of hard to understand, this is a fair statement. It’s a complex idea, the basics of which is things are getting hotter but the reason why and how the planet works are more complicated which is part of what makes dismissing the concept so easy. There were some big fires this year most notably the Amazon fires but as a whole, there have been quite a few large fires all over the world and as climate change ramps out, we’re only likely to see even more of them. Check out this video to see how many fires we’ve actually had this year.
