Temperature Blankets and Chronicling Climate Change – these projects are helping track change

If you knit or crochet then you’ve probably heard of the temperature blanket. For every week of the year, you take the average temperature, represented by a color of yarn, and do a row of yarn work. At the end of the year, you’ve got a blanket to show for your efforts. They’re also chronicling climate change.

Bands Make Changes to Concerts for the Climate – live music has a footprint, some bands are working to make it smaller

Everyone likes live music! It’s really fun to see a band, especially if they’re you’re favorite band, play live but there is a carbon cost to that. A pretty high one in some cases. Your local group probably isn’t creating a whole lot of emissions but your stadium band, in most cases, are. A few musicians have taken a stand for the climate.
